This week we have been discussing about the upcoming Holiday of Yom Kippur. We talked about saying i'm sorry for mistakes we have done, and deciding for the future to make good choices. The Yeladim got a chance to say what good choices they would like to make for the new year. We talked about customs we do on Yom Kippur such as not wearing fancy leather shoes, moms and dads don't eat and drink, not smearing creams and lotions, wearing white garments, and spending the day davening to Hashem for a good year. The Yeladim each made a special pair of slippers which they will be able to wear on Yom Kippur. It is customary to give extra Tzedakah before Yom Kippur to increase in our good deeds. We decorated our very own Tzedakah boxes to use in our homes. We also made delicious honey cookies which will be sent home tomorrow so that we have a sweet new year. May you and your loved ones all be sealed and inscribed for a good year!!
